Fayez Ahmed Mahmoud Hamad Khalaf Al-Tarawneh is a Jordanian politician and economist, who served as the Prime Minister of Jordan twice, in 1998 and 2012. He also held the position of Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court 3 times, the last of which was during the period (2013-2018). His reign witnessed the death of King Hussein bin Talal and the transfer of power to King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. He was appointed to succeed Aoun Al-Khasawneh, who submitted his resignation on April 26, 2012. He was born in Amman on 5/1/1949. He is the son of politician Ahmed Pasha Al-Tarawneh. Fayez studied in Amman schools and then continued his university studies until he obtained a doctorate in economics from the University of Southern California. It is worth noting that Tarawneh is considered one of the leaders of the Jordanian National Movement under establishment.
