Bahjat Talhouni Member of the Jordanian Senate

About him

Bahjat al-Talhouni was born in the city of Ma’an in 1913 and died in 1995, among the active Jordanian political figures. He held several positions, including Speaker of the Senate, Prime Minister and Head of the Royal Hashemite Court.
He studied at Al-Salt School, then joined Damascus University to graduate from the Faculty of Law there in 1935.
He worked as a judge in Karak in 1938.
He was assigned to form the government as prime minister four times during the years 1960-1970.
He was appointed as Speaker of the Senate in 1974, as he has been a member since 1962.
